| The Promotions
Committee is comprised of business owners, property
owners, community leaders and residents. This committee
provides the excitement of events and business activities
in downtown Warren.
 Signature
events that the Promotions committee has developed
are the Chocolate Walk held each spring, Warren's
Annual Rib Cookoff & Music Festival in July
and the signature event, "Warren's Old Fashioned
Christmas Walk and Santa Parade" in early
December. New to the line-up are Spring and Fall
Community Garage Sales held in downtown Warren's
"Big Blue" parking Garage.
By partnering with the Warren
Regional Arts Council, a new event, "Allegheny
River Jam & Arts Festival" will take
place in September which highlights the beauty
of the Allegheny River and allows regional artisans
the opportunity to showcase their talents along
the beautiful natural backdrop of the Allegheny
River.
Music by local musicians enhances
the experience and fun art activities for children
and mini-theatre performances by local actors
round out the day's activities.
The Promotions Committee also
offers training workshops each January - March
for business owners to learn how to better operate
and market their businesses. Workshops held by
Gannon Small Business Development Center are created
just for the needs of our downtown business owners.
The Promotions Committee meets
every second Tuesday of each month at 8am in the
Main Street office, 310 Second Avenue in downtown
Warren.
